The Vineyards is distinguished among the finest of master-planned communities in Southwest Florida. Its legacy may only be exceeded by that of the visionary family responsible for creation of the community. It is one of those “only in America” type stories that harks back to 1911 when Antonio and Vincenza Procacci emigrated to Camden, New Jersey. Earning only some eight dollar a day, Antonio and his five sons eventually saved enough money to start a produce business. Through hard work, determination and operational excellence, this family enterprise would later emerge as a world leading distributor of wholesale produce. The company would expand to acquire thousands of producing acres in Southwest Florida. Given the family’s discerning of ripe opportunities, they saw an expanse of 1,375 acres that could be used for something other than growing crops. Development of The Vineyards Country Club commenced in the 1980s. Over the years that have followed, the overall community has garnered continuing recognition for the quality of the homes, the wonderful amenities and overall residential charm. It addition to being a multi year winner of “Best Community in Naples” recognition by readers of Naples Daily News, the golf courses here are of such exception to have hosted the Senior PGA Golf Tournament for five years. Options here include gorgeous estates, single family homes and condos.
The two golf course at Vineyards were respectively designed by Mark McCumber and Bill Amick. For those who love the game, as a golf member of Vineyards, you’ll enjoy reciprocal access to more than two dozen other golf courses throughout Naples.
There are other recreational amenities which include tennis, swimming, biking/walking trails. The hub of amenities is a club house that encompasses more than 70,000 square-feet. The facility is complemented with a fitness center, dining venue and plenty of space for private activities.
There are other benefits that derive from the community’s location. Amazingly beautiful beaches and Gulf fishing adventures await only minutes from Vineyards. There’s also great shopping and dining among nearby venues like the Mercato of Naples. Kid friendly fun is also in the immediate area at places like the Golisano Children’s Museum or the Collier County water park known as Sun-n-Fun Lagoon. Wonderful schools, churches and healthcare services are also in the immediate proximity of the neighborhood.
